Chief Investigator - Dr Toby Smith
Toby's clinical and research interests centre on the management of older people with musculoskeletal disorders. He has a particular interest in the rehabilitation of people following hip fracture, hip/knee osteoarthritis and following lower limb joint replacement.
Toby's methodological expertise are in the conduct and reporting of clinical trials, as a team member for a number of national, multi-centre trials, investigating both surgical and non-surgical interventions for people with a variety of musculoskeletal disorders. Additional, he has expertise in systematic reviews (meta-analysis/meta-ethnography) and epidemiology, focusing on longitudinal data analyses of national cohorts.
Trial Manager - Dr Scott Parsons
Scott has been with NDORMS since 2015. Scott’s background is in chemistry and he has previous experience in scientific research. Scott was previously an administrative coordinator for the PATH-2 Study, AIM Trial, WHIST Trial, FixDT Trial, WOLLF Trial and SPRAINED Study.
